Tribute to a Teacher!
After such a long time, I came across an experience that reinstated my confidence in the youth of Pakistan. Disrespect for teachers and elders is so common these days that one begins to believe that we have lost a generation. But, the casual event at IoBM proved me wrong. Few of my classmates gave a wonderful tribute to our Business Communication teacher Mrs. Nighat Rizvi. The event came as a wonderful surprise to the teacher herself. As the event was about to start, Mrs. Rizvi thought it was somebody’s birthday. But as Anem Fatima Hyder, the person behind the idea, came up and gave a speech in respect of the teacher, she was overwhelmed. Mrs. Rizvi was then presented with a beautiful bouquet by our Class Representative Ammar Fahim, followed by a gift by Anem Fatima Hyder. She did not believe this was happening with her and was overwhelmed with the respect she earned.
Session with Zaid Hamid
I was invited by a friend of mine from PKKH for a closed session with Zaid Hamid in Karachi. I thought it would be a good chance to meet Zaid Hamid personally and find out about his thoughts. Sounding very enthusiastic and energetic, Zaid seemed like an ideal candidate to influence the youth and create an atmosphere of change. Talking on any topic related to security and patriotism for Pakistan, he very smoothly convinced the audience.
